With an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling, I take an eclectic approach to counseling and utilize a Solution-Focused, Brief Therapy approach. This goal-directed collaborative approach to psycho-therapeutic change is conducted through direct observation of person's responses to a series of precisely constructed questions. The focus is on addressing what a person wants to achieve, rather past histories that could hinder personal growth. By identifying a persons goals, a detailed description of what life will be like when the goal is accomplished, strategies can be developed to co-construct uniquely appropriate and effective solutions.
